Cushman
& Wakefield affiliate buys Upstate Commercial in
Kingston

Six
months ago, Steve Perfitt lamented the
stagnating Ulster County commercial landscape.
Fast forward to 2008 and there’s been a
significant change to Perfitt’s Upstate
Commercial Group. The Kingston commercial
Realtor has been purchased by Cushman & Wakefield’s
affiliate, Pyramid Brokerage Company.

company gets grant to offer college classes

to a grant from state Sen. Steve Saland,
R-I-C-Poughkeepsie, Kirchoff Construction
Management began a companywide training
program last month that will give its employees
the opportunity to enhance management and
professional skills with traditional courses
selected by the company, plus an option
to select from Dutchess Community College’s
online and noncredit courses.
Village
uses all its charm in downtown revitalization

Like so many downtowns in America,
Ellenville has suffered severely from the
double whammy of a disappearing manufacturing
base and the building of malls. But now,
with the help of state and federal funds
the latest being $200,000 secured from
U.S. Rep. Maurice Hinchey from the House
of Representatives this month the village
is slowly emerging from its condition of
blight.
